Chapter 20: 11 Interesting things we learnt about Rwanda

Hello everyone. Axel has been a very lazy bicycle and not done a blog for a long time so eventually I had to make this one all by myself. It is about some of the surprising things we discovered in Rwanda, which was our most curious country so far.

In other news, we have had all sorts of ridiculous adventures since Rwanda. Without giving too much away, these adventures include cycling across the equator, Carla falling on her face (again), having our bus driver arrested near Nairobi and - undoubtedly the main highlight - Diana attacking two poor men who had the bad sense to try and mug her and Carla (don’t worry, we are all ok, cannot say same for muggers).

Finally, some congratulations are in order. Kelly Diggle, who won Charlie the travelling bicycle a few months back, successfully cycled all the way around Iceland by herself and had a wonderful, interesting adventure, which you can read all about here. She held a competition to see who would take Charlie on his next trip, and the winners were sisters Charlie and Lou, who now have Charlie in their possession and are going to be setting off in the next few months on a grand adventure from England to China. Then, on a non-Charlie note, cycle-touring celebrity Shirine Taylor, who has been riding around the world since the age of 19, arrived home last week, bringing her 2ish year trip to an end (and you can see her story about ending her trip here and here is an interview with her). Well done ladies. All of you are a bit crazy but in a good way.

Ok I think that is everything I needed to say. Sorry for all that writing. Here is a picture of a unicorn riding a bicycle from Axel.
