HELLO, I’M TEGAN

Once upon a time… I was studying to be a lawyer.

Then I drew some comics in a competition to win a bicycle, which I rode across Spain, telling the story of my adventure through a comic blog.

This kind of adventure storytelling was too fun to not wildly pursue, so I spent the next few years finding ways to go on more adventures (which included an 11,000km bike trip through Africa with my family, and a 10 Iron Man triathlon around New Zealand), while figuring out how to turn ‘Fun Adventure Content-Making’ into a real job. Eventually it did become a real job, and in 2022 I was lucky enough to attempt to be the fastest woman to cycle across Africa. My attempt landed me in hospital due to illness, so I didn’t get to set the record, but I am hoping to return to try again when the civil war in Sudan is over.

Today, I work full-time as a cartoonist, speaker, and endurance cyclist, living in Girona, Spain. I also have a little shop, full of nice things for people who are a bit strange and like adventures, check it out here! I also post lots to Instagram.
