5 Life Lessons From A 500KM Bicycle Race Through The Mountains

 

This year, in January, I finally completed the full Sedgefield500, a self-supported bicycle race where you have to carry everything yourself on your bike through the mountains for however long it takes to finish the 500km route. It was hot—over 40°C. It was dramatic—I got lost, I lost some important gear, and I went from mid-pack to second place to almost giving up. By the end, my bum was…not the same.
