The NZ Epic
Post update: I totally finished this adventure.
My bike broke a lot. I got a bit tired and ill and occasionally lost. But I did it, with the help of a wonderful support team and a lot of cake! Watch this space for an Unclipped review of how it went.
Also, please note that the personalised cartoon offer mentioned below has now finished for future donations because I have lots and lots of lovely cartoons to draw for people which will keep me out of mischief for a few weeks, but it's a good sign because it means that so far we have raised almost 80 bikes for school kids - that's a lot of two-wheel empowerment going on! Hello from Under Down Under!
On the 1st of November 2016 I'll begin a 40km swim, 1800km bike, 422km run around New Zealand's South Island. And I'm trying to raise 250 bicycles for schoolchildren in Africa. That's enough words I think. Here are some cartoons.

Your own personalised cartoon
If you donate more than £35 towards a bicycle, to say thanks for being an amazing person I'll make you your own cartoon of anything you can imagine.
Hannah donated £35 and asked for a picture of her and all the cats.
James wanted one of him on the tube.
Kelsey wanted one of her running in her gym gear in London.
Monica wanted one that combined the story of her and her partner in Tanzania and Holland.
Claire wanted to be having brunch at a rooftop cafe with a ginger cat called Bobby.
No breakfast
I know I haven't explained that much in this post, so if you want to see a bit more, I was lucky enough to go on New Zealand’s Breakfast TV show to chat about this adventure. Except we didn't actually get to have breakfast, which made me sad. I also got to chat to Cape Talk's Kieno Kammies. Click on the cartoons to watch/listen;
Follow the fun
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat. Even a cool website. We have it all. And we'll be uploading videos and photos and even some cartoons. So please follow us (we may need some moral support when things get hard). This is a video of testing out my cold-water swimming gear in Fish Hoek. The actual adventure ones will be much more exciting.

ROUTE AND DATES
And, if you happen to know anybody in New Zealand who is mad enough to join in for a little bit of this or who might even have a hot shower we could use, here is a route with rough dates:
So, that's all for now. Thanks for being great and getting to the bottom of this page.

PS if you're wondering how this whole thing came about, check out a very cool finance and legal recruitment company called Altum Consulting and their Altumate Challenge Grant. Maybe next year YOU can be the one doing the crazy thing.
